Kernal Panic Erroe in Fedora Core

i had fedora core 6 after that i tried to installed fedora care 3. when i instal Fedora core 3, i had got following error message
" RAM DISK : Compressed image found at block 0
KERNAL PANIC : not syncing VFS unable to mount root fs on unknown block (0,0) "
what is the error?.any possible to install Fedora core 3.

Did you build your own kernel, or are you using the generic kernel?

What is in your grub.conf file?
