Ubuntu Linux

Has anyone used the Ubuntu flavor?

I think it is new, but apparently it's good for beginner Linux users and it will dual boot well with Windows.

Check out the website for more info

I have seen this distributive before. It has live CD for running linux without installation; it could be useful for checking PC without HDD . Main advantage of this distributive is small size, because it hasn't much useless soft.

I couldn't get the live cd to work.

The best for newbies, and experienced users is probably SuSE or Fedora, but don't get SuSE 10.1....it has some issues
