Admit it... you're watching American Idol

Yes... yes... I admit it! I've been watching American Idol.

I really dug the 1st year and then it got pretty boring the next years. I'm liking how they allow the singers to play instruments this time! Anyone got predictions on who's going to win?? I'm thinking it's going to either be Kristy or Michael. What's your vote?

I'll update the poll each week as people get tossed off.

I am not watching it. I will never watch it. They are so sad. People will win, do one song. See you never again.

You all watch this "crap" on tv ?? There are a lot more interesting feathers on TV besides "reality shows"!!

When did Americams become so "fascinated" with this reality TV ??

Well, I can't speak for "Americans" but my tastes are pretty diverse! And, everyone likes a lil silliness now and then! Who was it who said... “The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play.”

If you really wanna know how the world (not just Americans) got hooked on realty, you should Google the origins of "Cops."

So, what do you like to watch then Doc?

Well, I guess American Idol's kinda dead now. LOL I've not watched the last few episodes... too busy. I'm curious though to see how far lil David Archuleta goes before we all just get too sick of him! *gag*

I think David Cook might actually end up winning. Shrug!

Okay..okay...okay... I watched American Idol again last night! LOL

I swear, most of the time, I'm just flippin' channels and it's "Oh, Idol..." and there's typically nothing else on at 7pm so I just figure I'll hang there a while. I swear!

Last night was actually pretty neat because they were NOT doing popular music but were doing song from very famous musicals by Andrew Lloyd Weber. I think he was Knighted by the Queen sometime back so now he's Lord Andrew Lloyd Weber now!

Poor lil Brook White who really does have talent stumbled again and couldn't make a clean start of her song. She got out a few words and then had to stop and start again.

David Cook once again hit it outta the park!

Ya know what was SO weird was David Cook standing side by side with Ryan Seacrest. What was so weird was their difference in size! But couldn't tell if it was that Cook was abnormally large... especially his head! Or was it that Ryan was abnormally small!! I don't know ... the two of them side by side just took odd!

OMG... thank God Castro is off! I could not stand that guy! Any white dude with dreadlocks has got to be whacked!

Please ... please... please... let's vote off David Archuleta!!

He's too young... has no sex appeal... he just doesn't have it yet to be an "Idol." No way! He reminds me of a Castrato!

OMG - why on earth bring castrati into the American Idol arena??? As an opera lover I take issue GASP! lol :P - I must say though - I haven't really watched this season very much at all... Anyway...

I don't watch it. I don't live in USA and in my country, the relay plays in the wrong time, around 12:00PM in Saturday midnite xP

Why take issue? Castrati were around long before Opera got it's start.

The reason I mention it is because the days of lil Michael Jackson or Donny Osmond are over! Today's "American Idol" is one who has sex appeal, magnetism, etc... etc... Archuleta ain't got it!

Cook triumphs over Archuleta on 'American Idol'

Grown-up rocker David Cook has triumphed over smooth-voiced teen David Archuleta to become the new "American Idol."

While Archuleta was heaped with praise by the judges the night before, the voters decided otherwise -- and it wasn't even close. Host Ryan Seacrest said during Wednesday's show that 12 million votes was the difference.

Cook was overcome by emotion, bending toward the stage after his name was announced.

"This is amazing," he said. "This is all your fault," he added, addressing the brother who Cook had accompanied to the "Idol" audition that started it all.

Cook immediately took the microphone and began to sing "Time of my Life," which won the annual "Idol songwriting competition."
