Is Bush Doing His Job ???

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/...n1350874.shtml

The latest CBS News poll finds President Bush's approval rating has fallen to an all-time low of 34 percent, while pessimism about the Iraq war has risen to a new high.

Americans are also overwhelmingly opposed to the Bush-backed deal giving a Dubai-owned company operational control over six major U.S. ports. Seven in 10 Americans, including 58 percent of Republicans, say they're opposed to the agreement.

CBS News senior White House correspondent Jim Axelrod reports that now it turns out the Coast Guard had concerns about the ports deal, a disclosure that is no doubt troubling to a president who assured Americans there was no security risk from the deal.

The troubling results for the Bush administration come amid reminders about the devastating impact of Hurricane Katrina and negative assessments of how the government and the president have handled it for six months.

In a separate poll, two out of three Americans said they do not think President Bush has responded adequately to the needs of Katrina victims. Only 32 percent approve of the way President Bush is responding to those needs, a drop of 12 points from last September’s poll, taken just two weeks after the storm made landfall.

I'd say "Yes" only in that he's doing his job as Pres. Now... is he doing a good job... that could be debated!

The UAE donated 1 million dollars to Bush's campaign fund.. guess he owes them one regarding the Dubai deal! It was supposedly approved before he ever heard about it.

I think it was Jay Leno who said something like, "We can't turn Iraq over to the Iraqis, but we'll turn our ports over to Arabs!" Or something to that effect.

But to be fair, foreign multinational corps own a huge portion of America... China holds much of the American debt as well. It makes my head hurt to think of how muddles things have become in this country!

As for Bush, I believe he is another president with a personal agenda.. the only thing worse than Dubya in the White House would be Jeb. I did admire his dad tho.

You're kidding me?! I had no idea about that! Okay, that should be illegal... no foreign government should be permitted to donate money to any U.S. official... for any reason!

Your right on this score and it's going to get worse. I'd hate to be a kid growing up now because this isn't going to an America for Americans in the next 50 - 100 years!

Whoops, here's the real story: http://www.informationliberation.com/?id=6949

It was a $1 million dollar donation to the Bush library fund. <cough>
