Smile Canon Digital Rebel

Are there any Canon Digital Rebel owners here? I have always wanted one of these cameras and I was Finallyable to get my hands on one . I really do love some of the manual controls. I am not able to do much on it yet except for focusing it myself and setting the aperture and shutter speed, but that in itself makes it fun.

Do any of you have any features that you really like using on the camera? I am looking forward to getting a tripod so I can take a shot at getting some of those beautiful night photos when summer comes around.

We have two for our yearbook staff, one is 8 megapixels, the other is 10. They are awesome. Some people still can't take pics good with them(like having the stands blurry @ a football game lol) but for those how can stay still, it is a great camera. Very versital and if I took alot of pics for personal use, I would definately get one.

I have the 8 megapixel one. That one was expensive enough, and I just couldn't go for the 10 .

To compensate for handshake I try not to go below a 60 shutter soeed. I also try to take a lot of extra photos just in case. What I really want to do also is buy a tripod, one that is very very easy to cary around.

I don't have a problem with it shaking @ all. It fits well in my hand. We take lots of sports photos with it and they turn out great.

The Canon Rebel XTi is a great camera, but I can't stand the way it looks. Out of all the cameras the Nikon D80 is consistently the top rated one. Their D40 is the least expensive DSLR on the market right now and can't be beat for the money
