Problem - iTunes won't recognize iPod

I was trying to back up my entire collection of music from my ipod to my computer. I was having some trouble with it, so I downloaded a problem called Ehpod which did it easily and quickly. The problem is iTunes doesn't recognize my ipod anymore. This means that my ipod won't play any music at all!
I assume the problem was with the software, but I'm not sure how to fix it.

Please help!

Hmm... I don't have a ipod so I'm not sure. Lemme look 'round and get back to you!

How do you reset your ipod?
I heard it involved something along the lines of holding in the menu button and the middle button at once, but I could never get it to work properly.

Thanks a lot. Unfortuantly I still couldn't get it too work. Even though I reset it several times, it still contains all the songs and data that it always had. iTunes still doesn't recognize it and it won't play music. Is there anything else I could try?

r u using a high power usb 2.0 port? I had to buy one for this comp. The old usb 1.0's wouldn't detect it, it was very hit in miss, like 1-100 reconnects.

I have never had any problems with it for over a year now. It is still detected by iTunes, but it says something like "iTunes cannot read the content of iPod." And the only thing that has changed since it did work and now is the problem that I used.

wierd, you can always take it to an Ipod store and have them reset it for you. The only one I've seen around my place is in the mall, so maybe your mall has one too?
