Suggestion - Are looking for digicams with more megapixel-it's not worth

I never look for more pixeled digital cameras as it's a waste of money. Lemme say how it's waste. You should no look for more megapixels only as only camera processor,image censor,quality of pics, focal length,lens,optical zoom etc matters. What r ur comments.

1. The number of megapixels, but the quality of the megapixels matter. For example, most digital camera image sensor pixels can only detect just a particular area's redness, blueness, or greenness, but not all three. This is why you sometimes get a mosaic effect, and why you may often have to adjust the warmth of a photo - not enough redness may be captured.

So camera processor should be best & pixels be of quality...

2. 1.3 megapixel can giv u clearest photo print -4X6's
so whats need of more pixels.

* 1.3 Megapixel = 1280x960: Great 4x6's, acceptable 5x7's photo prints.
* 2 Megapixel = 1600x1200: Pretty good 8x10's photo prints.
* 3 Megapixel = 2048x1536: Great 8x10's, good 11x14's photo prints.
* 4 Megapixel = 2272 x 1704: Great 11x14's, and acceptable 16x20 prints.
* 5 Megapixel = 2560x1920: Pretty good 16x20's photo prints.
* 6 - 10 Megapixels = At this point you are usually limited by the lens, not the pixels.

Thanks for the info! I always figured the more mega pixels a camera had the better quality the picture would be! I guess "more" is not always better!

2 megapixel pictures would print too good....& have same clarity in same sized prints..and almost all top notch mobiles have 2 megapixel cameras but the things that r needed r quality - good lens, face detection,red eye,flash,better censors
