LG has the best looking phones, with the most modern high tech features. In regards to reception, I can't really speak on that because I haven't used each and every phone. I will admit that LG hasn't had the best reception for me, but I don't know if that is the cell phone provider's fault or not.
Nokia seems like they are the best to me. I always buy my phones overseas because they come out a few years ahead of the US.

Motorola and Nokia seem to be pretty good overall. Features, voice quality, etc. I have two phones both of their manufacterer's so I don't think I can comment on the rest of the phones.
It's Nokia hands down! I've used them for years now, probably since they first came out, and I've never had any problems. The reception is so clear, and I've never had much static at all; never been shut down, etc. I wouldn't trade it for anything at this point.
