TrueCrypt

It allows you to create a file and mount it as a drive with password protected.
In Windows 98 I used scramdisk, now it's truecrypt on Windows XP.

Interesting! And how does this differ from just encrypting a file or folder the old fashion way? Or, what is the advantage of mounting it as a drive??
