Since nobody has posted anything in this forum, I thought I'd get the ball rolling by opening myself up for your constructive criticism.

Please review www.gopc.com

Interested in your opinion of the "feel" of the site. Is it inviting? Does it have interesting content? Do you like the Forum there?

What would you add? Change? Remove?

Hey GoPC,

Good stuff:

It's crisp looking, soft colors (read: easy on the eyes), the headings/links are easy identifed.

Suggestions:

1. The Forum needs description text under headings like wifi & blackberry and the rest.

2. I would code it so the pages are center regardless of the monitor settings. The monitor I'm on right now has aligned to the left with a big blank area on the right.

Overall, I like it!

Good points...

I completed the descriptions under the Forums tab (check it out at www.gopc.com/forum) and it all looks pretty complete now.

About the Left Margin thing... I tried it with the site centered and honestly I didn't like it as much. To much salmon on the left margin then and that color seems to be the only negative feedback I've got on the site. Regardless, I like the salmon color

Anyway, you are probably looking at the site in a resolution better than 800x600 which is really what the site was designed to be displayed at... of course I use a higher resolution and I think more and more people are too. 800x600 is just left over "Standardization" from the old days of design that I just can't shake loose I guess. LOL!

I really like the soft colors used up top. The salmon color at the bottom might be better if it was a blueish color with maybe a salmon tint to keep the orange headlines matching. Just a suggestion. I really like the layout!

The Chosen colors are great. Also the layout seems well organized.

The most important feedback (I see) is :
The Link of "Enter Forums!" in the left side of the home page is of a bigger size than the other font in the page ! Do you really want this ?

I recognize the page elements from some free templates on the web. I would try to make it unique. The template I am talking about is known to death by many webmasters, doesn't make the site look too professional. Try edit them and see the changes

Hi. The site layout looks professional and nice. The problem is that in my wide screen - in the middle of the page the site box stops (after the banner) and then goes brown space. You need to fill it with something. The content is good and well-based.

Overall Rating: 8/10

Hey GoPC,

I myself (being a professional web designer for 10-12 years) would put more Meta-Tags on your site.

Example

NAME="revised" CONTENT="00/00/00">
<META NAME="distribution" CONTENT="global">
<META NAME="revisit-after" CONTENT="10 days">
<META NAME="robots" CONTENT="All">
<META NAME="rating" CONTENT="General">
<META NAME="copyright" CONTENT="www.gopc.com">

These (above) are very important with search engines, also "PR ratings" .
