Usenet News appears to be slowly losing popularity to web-based discussion groups, such as this one.

In your Usenet News client.
To read Usenet newsgroups, you will need an NNTP client, such as Mozilla Thunderbird.
Then, you will need to tell your Usenet client the addresses of you NNTP servers.
In
most cases, your ISP will provide you with NNTP servers as part of your Internet service. Contact your ISP, tell them you want to read Usenet newsgroups, and ask them the addresses of your Usenet news servers.
Then, configure those NNTP servers into your Usenet news client.
