Help with alcohol 120%

i just got alcohol and i need someone who knows how to use it. i have started and have sucsessfully burned a image on a cd-r but i have a dvd burner andi insert a blank dvd and tell it to start it jsut brings up another screen and it shows the drive and says it has a blank disc and elapsed time is running, a little help?
