| Note he / she said on the first page, not first position, however in either case, that is a good accomplishment. The trend in "directories" is quite overwhelming in all honesty. Everyone has a directory these days, and most of the new ones are structured as yours. I don't see a issue charging if your actual pages (not the homepage) has pagerank, because it's always the option of the person buying the listing as to if they want to spend the money, but as mentioned by dr911, directories are a dime a dozen and with almost a half a billion available, I don't see why anyone would pay.
Anyway, congrats on your placement. If you end up on the first page results for the keyword "Directory", now that would be a huge accomplishment!
