Meebo Chat

Have any of you tried out Meebo? I just heard about it. I really don't like chatting much, as it is, let alone, installing multiple chat messenger programs. Meebo looks promising for my chat needs, without installing a thing.

What do you think?

About Meebo:

Meebo is a new communications and media company that's re-writing the way people have conversations and communicate on the Web.

You can keep in touch with friends you know on any instant messaging network (AIM, Yahoo!, MSN, Google Talk, ICQ, and Jabber) at meebo.com, or reach out and have live conversations with anyone at any website with Meebo Rooms and Meebo Me. Instant messaging from absolutely anywhere, no downloads or installs required, and free!

meebo - online web IM for AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Google Talk messengers

So how does Meebo differ from other chat/IM programs? Is it one of those that combines all the different IM programs in to one??

It's different or better, because you don't install anything, plus it combines all the different chat programs in one..

meebo is wasting so much bandwith...T________________T. *my connection sucks!*

instead try Web and Mobile messenger everywhere - eBuddy former e-messenger, they offer same function but in a lightweight interface that is suitable for everyone. They even has a mobile version.

I don't notice the slow down in bandwidth on my connection, but thanks for the alternative. I will give it a try.

The main feature for me is not having to install anything and still use all the different messenger services. Both of these sites provide a similar service, so I am not sure of any differences, if any. Please feel free to comment.

I like it and hope others find it useful too.

Cheers!

Ahh... I get it! So, if I was at work and wasn't permitted to download IM software I could still chat with all my friends if I at least had an internet connection! Neat!
