Firefox does that if you install the SessionSaver extension.

SlimBrowser also does that.

I use all three browsers - IE for the Alexa and Google toolbars, Firefox for its huge array of useful and unique extensions, and Opera for its 'notes' feature, download tools, and lovely email client.

Opera is probably my favourite of the three, but I have yet to replace many of the Firefox extensions.

Browser

I only use two, and those are Yahoo and Google. I'm finding that I prefer Google over Yahoo, as it provides me with many more hits that Yahoo. I have never tried Firefox or the others, but I may upon your recommendations. Thanks for the tips!

Look how far firefox is ahead on the poll!

Looks like a clear winner to me. Firefox is the way of the future, soon enough everyone will be using it.
So IE7 better be good I say

I have only ever used IE. That's becasue I am always reading about how some websites don't support anything else etc...

I figured I would rather not take a chance. But I might give firefox a try. I've been hearing a lot about it lately from here and other places.

If that happens, then virus writers will target Firefox primarily and eventually everyone would need to use a less-used browser to avoid the exploits. Theoretically it is better for everyone if we all used different browsers and OS's.

I disagree. If everyone uses a different browser, its a nightmare for designers trying to get websites to work in all those browsers.
I take it you aren't a web designer, and dont understand the nightmares involved.

I've done a little, just forgot about that aspect. I spent days trying to get one of my layouts to look right in Firefox (it's picky with the cell background and image cells ... yeah I need to learn CSS). I agree, it'd probably be better for a more specific standard for browsers.

Well, they are all supposed to be W3C compliant.

The trouble is, there are so many different ways to read the W2C standards.

Firefox is probably "the best" Web Browser.

But I stick with IE

Same here, I made the switch to Firefox after many years of using Internet Explorer. Firefox is much more convenient with tabbed browsing and plenty of useful plugins.

only reason i keep IE is because sometimes for some reason firefox doesn't use quicktime for certain stuff. Even when I use extensions to convert the page to IE it works but after a click i can't get it to work. So I just use IE for that.

Yeah, Firefox is the best overall IMO. Though sometimes I need to bring out IE for compatibility reasons.

I think Firefox is the best browser overall, IE doesn't even come close.

Opera

Honestly Firefox is awful, almost as bad as IE. Opera is the fastest and most secure.

And why isn't Konqueror on the list?

Believe it or not I used IE exclusively up until 6 months ago or so. Than I realized the power of Firefox. Any other browser simply cant compare to the flexibility of FF.

Although my favorite is firefox. I think it would be mre fair if you asked a more specific question such as, "which browser is best at ________"
