RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" and is a way for webmasters to make their content available via more distribution methods.

There are a plethora of tools to read RSS feeds. They can be categorized into one of two types:
- Web sites that aggregate information from other web sites.
- Client programs (such as web browsers) that let you browse RSS feeds.
The purpose of RSS -- for the reader -- is making information more easily accessible.
The Tech FAQ forum is available via RSS, and the
Tech FAQ Toolbar uses that RSS feed to display recent forum posts.
