Rep Power: 6 | Well, here's my best laid plans...
I wanna change hosting ...for one! Our current hosting is hit 'n' miss.
Then, I'm going to rearrange some of the threads, possibly add some new topics.
Then, redesign the member info that you see on posts. I was given a really neat bit of coding that will make it look cooler!
Then, I want to do away with all or at least most of the banner ads on the right.
Then, if I'm not completely worn out. lol There are a couple hacks I'd like to add. I ain't telling though. There's got to be SOME surprises.

Rep Power: 6 | Well... *sigh* I didn't get as many changes done as I'd hoped.  <-- did add unhappy face and  lol
We do now have the option of adding a image/banner to your signature like the one you now see in mine. There is a limits though as to the size (230 x 80 / 15k) and style... let's keep them in good taste! More details will be added to the Site Rules section in a little bit. Be sure to read them! I'm looking forward to see some creative sigs! 
On to other news...
The bozos from my supposedly new hosting company haven't contacted me back to make the transfer. Geez, it's hard to find good help these days! *sigh2*
And, I'm still working on adding some RSS feeds and/or a new ticker that will run computer and tech related topics. I did add one at the bottom of our home page but that one was just a tester and not a keeper.
I'll keep y'all posted!

Rep Power: 6 | Okay, the other change we've been working on is the Profile Area on posts. The change in coding creates boxes around the user information which gives a cleaner more organized look.
The problem I'm seeing is when I make the change in coding the text within the posts changes size... Before code change. After code change.
I'd like to have this change but I don't think the smaller font looks as good.
And, the boxes around the Profile Area doesn't seem quite right either. I think the boxes/catagory sections (e.g. Join Date) are too narrow and too long.
And the IM icons are too small but that's a relatively easy change
I dont' know... what do y'all think?

Rep Power: 6 | Well, we've got the user information (partially) worked out. I'm sure most of ya didn't even notice the relocation of the info but I think it looks better than before.

Rep Power: 6 | Is anyone else having problems clicking on the forum name... e.g. "Bulletin Board" or "The PC and You" or any of the others?? But you CAN click on whatever is listed as the "Last Post" or posts/articles are over on the right side bar?
I'm having the same problem. I think it's because of the new NEWS/LATEST POST hack. I just want to know if it's just me!

I think we should have a special section for articles and then have subcategories based on topic/keywords. That why people can go directly to the stuff the want to read. Yeah? Rep Power: 3 | Doesn't matter to me, suprise me. Just slow these down. Almost spamming the forum in a way lol. I would like to see a section on Microsoft news, Intel news, and AMD news. Maybe a linux in there to. That's 1 way of organizing it I guess.

I'm going to create a whole new section for the RSS feeds with sub-forums for different topics, such as Microsoft, AMD, viruses, How-To, etc...etc... in this way the RSS feeds will have their own seperate home on the forum. Also, the feeds to each catagory will only have two maybe three articles per day. In this way, there's something new to read in each of the five or six sections but you're not flooded. AND, you can decided what sections you want to visit... or not. How's that sound?
It's all still being tweeked. In fact, we just changed RSS hack from Article Bot to About Today. I'm hoping we can figure out a way to make the articles that post to the thread different from the articles highlighted on the right side column.
