How to do internetworking of satellites with other backhauls ?

That depends upon what protocols you are using.

For example, if you are using TCP/IP you use a routing protocol such as BGP and assign a link cost to each possible link that network traffic is allowed to take.

Or, you can get fancy and define a route map. You could send your non-interactive traffic over the satellite link and reserve your lower latency ground links for interactive traffic and voice.

What is your application? Are your transmissions analog or digital? Are you sending data, video, or voice? Is all of your traffic the same, or is some traffic more or less tolerant of latency?
