I need a motherboard for Socket 478

I have a Socket 478 Intel CPU but my motherboard has died.

I'm trying to track down an old S478 motherboard but no one seems to sell them these days because S478 is virtually dead.

Does anyone know where I could pick one of these up?

Pricewatch is one of the best web sites for buying PC stuff.

Their Motherboard: Socket 478 page lists over 100 Socket-478 motherboards.

I recommend the Abit AI7 motherboard for a socket 478.

If you can find one that is, like you said they dont make them anymore so you need to find someone with old stock.
The link Will posted should be able to help you out.

It might just be cheaper for you to ditch that CPU and buy a newer CPU with the new socket technology.
You can get celerons cheap and they work really well

I agree, I threw out my S478 stock last year, its just too tough finding replacement parts.
Waste of money, but meh.. thats the nature of this damn computer hardware business!

Alot are ex-demo's though, some might even be second hand.
I still think its best to toss it out and spend $200-$300 on a cheap AMD CPU and motherboard.
