Overclock ?
A friend of mine wants to over clock his AMD Athlon XP 3000 (2.2ghz) up to about 2.4. He has a Soyo KT600 Dragon Plus 1.0v motherboard and 2gb of DDR RAM. Is there a way he can do this in his BIOS(couldn't find it in the manual) or a program that will do it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

overclocking
i dont know about that motherboard. if you are able to oc it, it will be in the bios. that processor is most l ikley clock locked, but instead of overclocking the chip its self, he can most likley up the systme speed. it is kinda like overclocking everything all at once. not as efficent as other things, but he might not have a choice. just watch your temps. shouldnt be a problem.

Well he just got a new mb and processor. So I guess this question is irrelevant anymore. Thanks for all the help. I learned somethin from it, so it didn't completely go to waste
