Hey cheapquality,

Well, it first depends on what you're going to want to do with this new machine/hardware. What do you want the system to do? What will you be doing on it most of the time?

I always buy the latest chip in the market. it might cost you little more.

I recommend you to buy a processor:

Intel Q6600;
Conroe - 2.4 GHz
1066MHz,8 MB,LGA

I am also planning to buy the PC based on this processor.

Anyway it depends upon your budget, preference, etc.

well if u really are interested in buying AMD rig
then go with this
AM2 5000+ black edition( with unlocked multipliers) fro monster overclocking
would be around 130$
& to go with a ASUS M2A VM mobo for 100$
& kingston 2*1GB DDR2 Mhz sticks for 65$

thats it

i came across the article about AMD's spider that consisting of AMD Phenom processor, the AMD 790FX chipset and the ATI Radeon HD 3800 series GPU.
Some info about the gadget;

AMD 790FX chipset - to upgrade the backbone support in order to take full advantage of AMD Phenom processor and ATI Radeon 3800 series.

I still didn't get full report about this system..nevermind once i get the full report i'll share with y'all.
