All memory sticks are ram (random access memory)
DDR (double-data-rate) is 'sdram' (synchronous dynamic random access memory)
so your DDR is sdram a form of ram

I think you meant it does not support DDR2?

anyhow, my newest mobo is:
Gigabyte M51GN-S2G NVIDIA Socket AM2 MicroATX

I just built a comp for my dad and put in a cheap ASUS A8N-SLI Premium. Works great. The only thing it didn't do was boot from my scsi controller and suport wasn't that good for it, so I had to swap it for a SATA II.
