All memory sticks are ram (random access memory) DDR (double-data-rate) is 'sdram' (synchronous dynamic random access memory)
so your DDR is sdram a form of ram
I think you meant it does not support DDR2?

I just built a comp for my dad and put in a cheap ASUS A8N-SLI Premium. Works great. The only thing it didn't do was boot from my scsi controller and suport wasn't that good for it, so I had to swap it for a SATA II.

i never doubt about ASUS motherboard. i use 3 of them in my 3 different desktop. all are from different model. ASUS, a brand of quality and expectation.
