Create email stationery with Outlook Express!

Did you know you could send email with colorful background templates?

1. Start Outlook Express and choose Options from the Tools menu.

2. Click on the Compose, go to Stationery, click Create New button. This will bring up the Stationery Wizard.

3. In the Background section choose a picture, border or background color. If you want to use an image of your own click Browse to choose an image from your hard disk. Then choose where you want the to place the border or image on your email. Click Next.

4. Choose the font, size, color and any other attributes you want in the stationery. Click Next.

5. Now enter the top/bottom and left/right margin widths. You'll enter this width is pixels. Click Next.

6. Now, name the stationery style you've just created so you can distinguish it from any others you might create. Click Finish.

7. If you want to use your new and beautiful email stationery automatically for each message, place a checkmark next to the mailbox in the Stationery section. Choose the stationery and click OK.

8. If you only want to use it occasionally choose the Stationery name when creating new mail.

Note:
1. Be aware some email programs will not accept messages (Stationary) formatted as HTML. If the recipient says they didn't get it make sure the recipient don't have their email set to accept simple text emails ONLY.

2. Don't use too many images and/or colors in a stationery template. Each one you add increases the file size, which creates a long download for the recipient.

Here's a link to some additional email templates you can download from Microsoft.
