vBulletin Since we're running PC101 on vBulletin software I thought it logical to start a VB section.

Mods slated for removal from PC101

Howdy y'all,

Okay, the following are on the chopping block...

AboutToday - 2.0.4 - List and Manage AboutToday Events and RSS Feeds. vB 3.5 Add-on

Article Bot - 2.70 - Parse RSS Feed data and insert it as threads in your forum. vB 3.0.3

I'm going to remove them because an RSS feed is built into VB 3.6.1.

I'm also inclined to remove...

FlashChat Integration - 2.56 - Integration of Flashchat and vBulletin 3.5. - 3.6 Compatible

It seems we're not big enough yet for chat room and there's a flaw makes it look like someone's there when they're not... just slightly annoying!

Comments? Suggestions?

Lyte

Its been in since the beta of 3.6 , found some boards have taken it to excess though and have 90% of the posts being made by a bot

I need to check this out and see if I want to get it running. I've seen some boards that are nothing but rss feeds and newsgroup posts which degrade the forum if you ask me.

You can set it up so that all posts from the rss feed are moderated before being posted, allows you to personalise the posts to the board and get rid of anything not suitable beforehand
